Witch tales

Just finished reading Coelho's The Witch of Portobello. I am still just amazed. Some insights to the questions I have always asked myself. In a strange way I feel fulfilled. There's a little bit of 'witch' in all of us. Just that we don't often know how to reach her. And that life is as much the chaos within as the calm. That silence has words too.

I have just read one book by Coelho, and to be honest felt it was too much on the romance side, I know I am wrong to judge the author by one book.
I guess I will catch up with his books.

Any suggestions for a book I need to start with? am planning to do serious book shopping soon.

Rambler: which one did you read? And you could start with either Alchemist or Zahir...or Eleven Minutes...take your pick all of Coelho is brilliant. All his books are on romance...romancing the soul....all his books have very strong central character and the narration is in layers...you can take the stories at face value or delve into the metaphors…happy reading..! and if you are in B'lore...Landmark is a good place to hang around and read books for as long as you want...

Yeah, I agree with you DC, its about the wonderful metaphors that hooked me into Alchemist.. Now, I will immediately go out and check this new book...
